Minutes of activity by Grand Maratha Foundation

Date – 9thJuly, 2020 to 12thJuly, 2020.   |   Location – Civil Hospital, Tembi naka, Thane

• In the wake of the novel corona virus pandemic, the Grand Maratha Foundation has distributed over 1,500 food packets to the underprivileged at thane city.
• The GMF had been providing free food to the needy at the time of the global crisis.
• The global pandemic has created unprecedented situations leaving a large number of people vulnerable to hunger. Those worst hit by this pandemic and lockdown are stranded persons, daily wage labourers, migrants, children, homeless, the poor and many who form the floating population.
• Grand Maratha Foundation provide hot cooked meals to needy people in the lockdown due to COVID-19, in Thane city. Since 4 days GMF has been providing cooked food packet for more than 200 people each day.
• Social distancing and hygiene norms are being adhered to while delivering the food to needy persons.
• More than 2000cooked meal packets have been distributed till July 12 through GMF.
• The Grand Maratha Foundation’s initiative has come as a much-needed measure to help the poor survive the challenging period.
