THE EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Grand Maratha Foundation provided immediate relief of 30kg each of rice, wheat and lentils to Ms. Archna Srikrushna Dhanokar, a suicide struck farmer’s wife and her child. Further, Grand Maratha Foundation has offered to take care of all the education expenses till graduation of the child Soham Dhanokar.
- To promote alternative means of earning, Grand Maratha Foundation took a cue from Government’s active promotion for poultry farming.
- Grand Maratha Foundation distributed 600 chicks amongst the poorest of poor farmers of 5 villages of Khamgaon namely: Kadamapur, Palashi Bk and Palshi Khurd, Chitoda , Loni Gurav
- Similarly Grand Maratha Foundation distributed 50 battery operated torches and 5 spray machines with safety kits to the selected farmers. Soil testing equipment’s were given to be used for the five villages. Fifty head-torches were distributed to the most underprivileged farmers.
- The renowned guest present at the GRAND MARATHA FOUNDATION’s KISAN PRAGATI MELAWA: 17TH March 2018, enlightened the farmers about sustainable farming methods, need for alternative for farmers and tactics to generate better wealth for themselves.
- Special guests, the head of the departments from PKV demonstrated poultry care, multiplying the chicks and generating revenue. Safe spraying techniques which spraying chemicals in fields and means to earn more than just providing labor service were the highlight of the talk. Young farmers were introduced to Soil testing equipment by the department head.
- The guest present were: Chief Guest Dr. R.N. Katkar. Department of Soil Science & Agr. Chemistry.
